ArmInfo.  Ignoring the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration will not only result in financial losses, but  also have a long-term  negative impact on the investment climate and foreign policy positions of the country. Political scientist Suren Surenyants shared this opinion on his Facebook page in response to the Armenian government's reaction to the demand of the  Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) on  July 22, 2025, which requires the cessation  of the implementation of  new laws targeting Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC and any  confiscation actions.

If a party fails to voluntarily enforce the award, the other party can seek compulsory enforcement from the court in the country where the  debtor's assets are located. Economist Suren Parsyan told  about the  process of  enforcing an arbitration award.

ArmInfo. The changes at Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC owned by Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, began about a year ago, with hearings  held in the National Assembly, leading to  the dismissal of several officials were dismissed from their positions, as stated by Romanos Petrosyan,  the acting manager of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, in a  conversation with journalists. On his first day at work he arrived  late and with an entourage. "This process began about a year ago,  when the previous chairman of the regulatory commission left his post  at the start of his second term.  Additionally,  about eight months  ago, the deputy head of the MTAI responsible for the energy sector  was also dismissed," the acting manager of Elnets mentioned.

ArmInfo.  The ongoing lending activity in the first half of 2025 has enabled Armenian banks to consistently increase their profits at double-digit rates. This is evident  in the 29%  annual increase in the loan portfolio  reaching  6.9 trillion ($18 billion) and the total net profit of banks rising  17% per annually to 200.7 billion drams ($522 million), according to  data from  the Express Ranking of Armenian Banks as of 30.06.2025,  prepared by the Investment Company ArmInfo.
