ArmInfo. A seminar with the participation of government bodies and businesses of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, dedicated to the development of industry cooperation, identifying and eliminating barriers to mutual trade  with Serbia, was held on May 21 at the Eurasian Economic Commission under the chairmanship of the EEC Minister of Trade Andrey Slepnev. As reported by the EEC press service, the event is aimed at intensifying cooperation within the framework of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and its member states, on the one hand, and the Republic of Serbia, on the other hand.

ArmInfo.Trade turnover between Russia and Armenia demonstrated impressive results last year,  reaching $1.6 billion. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan following talks held in Yerevan on May 21.

ArmInfo. The head of the Center for Social and Economic Development referred to the  situation on Armenian-Georgian border as Georgia's terror against the cognac  production in Armenia. He made this statement during a protest  outside the Georgian Embassy in Armenia. The protest involved representatives of companies whose vehicles carrying cognac products have been detained at the border for over 40 days due to Georgia conducting  laboratory examinations on products, which are in transit to the country. The producers stated  that such checks are not required by  law.

ArmInfo. The Ministry of Economy of Armenia has developed a program to assist legal entities and individual entrepreneurs operating in the tourism sector through the introduction of a mechanism. The project is posted on the unified portal of legal acts.

ArmInfo. By 2030, Armenia plans to increase the number of international tourist visits annually to 10%. As a result, it is expected to increase revenue to $3 billion annually. This is stated in the Strategic Program for Tourism Development of the Republic of Armenia for 2026-2030 and the action plan to ensure its implementation, published by the Ministry of  Economy on the single portal of legal acts.

ArmInfo. Corporate bonds of a medical institution will be introduced on the capital market of Armenia for the first time. These are registered coupon bonds of the Vardanants Innovative Medicine Center (Arinterlev CJSC) with a total nominal value of 1 billion AMD, which were listed on the Armenian Stock Exchange (AMX) on May 20 and will be available for trading on Exchange's primary bond market ( Abond) on May 23.

ArmInfo.  The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure (MTAI) of Armenia proposes to exempt Iranian trucks weighing up to 44 tons from paying road tax, both for transit and bilateral cargo transportation. The initiative  is posted on the single portal of legal acts.

ArmInfo. The Azimut production company of the Rostec State Corporation has delivered a VOR/DME 2700 radio beacon to Armenia. The equipment was installed near the city of  Sisian, the press service of the State Corporation reported.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is providing Armenia with significant assistance in implementing the North-South transport corridor construction project. This was stated by Narek Zulalyan, Deputy Executive Director of the  Road Department Fund, during a press tour dedicated to the 20th anniversary of ADB's cooperation with the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Issues regarding the export of cognac spirits across the border of Georgia were discussed  at a meeting in Yerevan between the Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan and representatives of the cognac industry.  

ArmInfo. Due to the increasing incidence of financial fraud in Armenia, the Central Bank is considering  introducing an insurance mechanism for loans that exceed a certain  threshold. As Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Armen Nurbekyan reported during a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Financial, Credit and Budgetary Issues, this issue is being discussed at a meeting of the Central  Bank Council.
