ArmInfo. As part of the program to enhance the seismic safety of schools in Armenia, the restoration and construction of 23 out of 46 planned educational institutions has been completed. This was announced by Gohar Musaelyan, Head of the ADB Program, during a press tour dedicated to the 20th anniversary of cooperation between the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Republic of Armenia. She specified that work in the remaining schools is either ongoing or is in the final design stage. |

ArmInfo. In the Armenian interbank foreign exschange market, dollar transactions increased from May 12 to May 16, 2025, while ruble transactions decreased. Euro transactions have not been carried out for over two months. Specifically, the weekly trend for ruble transactions shifted from 64.3% growth to a 30.4% decrease, while the trend for dollar transactions changed from a 38.2% decrease to a 62% increase. As a result, the total weekly volume of dollar transactions once again surpassed ruble transactions by 1.7 times. The previous week the situation was reversed, with ruble transactions exceeding dollar transactions by 1.3 times. |

ArmInfo. Almost the entire flow of counterfeit and fake goods passes through Georgia in transit, as noted in a statement by the International Anti-Counterfeit Association. According to their estimates, around 60% of all counterfeit, low-quality goods from these countries pass through Georgia, including alcohol, clothing, footwear, dietary supplements, plant protection products and other consumer goods. To address this issue, the Anti-Counterfeit Association is collaborating with the Georgian-Russian Business Association. |

ArmInfo. In Q1 2025, the net inflow of private transfers to Armenia decreased by 48.4% per annum (compared to a decline of 49.6% the previous year), totaling $143.6 million. Specifically, the inflow increased by 4.7% to $1.3 billion, while the outflow rose by 20.5% to $1.1 billion, according to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. |
