ArmInfo. The tourist flow to Armenia continues to decline, as evidenced by data from the Tourism Committee of Armenia. Thus, according to the department, in March 2025, 129,887 tourists visited Armenia compared to 152,865 people in the same period last year. At the same time, Russians continue to lead in the number of visits to Armenia. In March 2025, the tourist flow from Russia amounted to 37%. Georgia was in second place with 15%, and Iran was in third place with 9%.

As reported by the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, a meeting between representatives of the customs units of the SRC and employees from the Norduz checkpoint of the Islamic Republic of Iran, took place at the Agarak checkpoint. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the border troops of the National Security Service of Armenia and the Consul General of Iran in Syunik. The discussion primarily focused on ensuring the smooth operation of the checkpoint. The parties discussed the proper organization of all stages of the border crossing process, as well as the specific entry and exit procedures at the checkpoint.
