Armenia`s Ministry of Finance harmonizing laws with premier`s  statements

ArmInfo.The Armenian authorities are expanding the range of social expenses on healthcare and education reimbursed within the framework of the general declaration of income of individuals. Thus, the Ministry of Finance of Armenia, which develops the country's tax policy, has adjusted the law to the wording previously voiced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The corresponding resolution was adopted on February 13 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Viva Armenia issues its first bonds worth $80 million, with  Ameriabank  as  underwriter

ArmInfo.  Telecommunications operator Viva Armenia has announced issuance of its first nominal, coupon paying, dollar -denominated bonds with a total face value of $80 million, with Ameriabank acting as the underwriter for these bonds. This was noted in the message of Viva Armenia CJSC, which  states that the c placement of the bonds will begin on 12 February  2025  and will be completed on June 23.

Real estate prices to remain unchanged in Armenia in 2025

ArmInfo.  According to the results of 2024, the secondary real estate market was more passive, both in terms of transactions and in value terms, compared to 2022 and 2023. This was noted in an interview with an ArmInfo correspondent by the founding member of the Council of the Association of Real Estate Agencies of Armenia, director of the real estate agency "Kolibri" Rustam Grigoryan. At the same time, he noted  that the primary market of Yerevan maintained its pace in 2024 thanks to the mechanism for the return of income tax on mortgage loans. From this year, the latter will be available only in the regions of the country.

Armenia`s high-tech exports saw a slight increase in 2024

ArmInfo. In 2024, Armenia saw a  0.8% annual increase in exports of high-tech products,  reaching a total of $979 million. This is evidenced by data from the Modex consulting company. In particular, high-tech goods made up 7.5% of Armenia's merchandise exports in 2024, down from 11.4% the  previous year.  Comparing to 2021, exports have increased by 19 times, driven mainly by the re-export of electronics and telecommunications equipment.
