ArmInfo. In violation of the labor legislation of the Republic of Armenia and labor contracts, on January 31, 2025, a number of employees of Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC did not show up for work, demanding an unrealistic salary increase in an ultimatum. By their actions, they sabotaged the work process in the company. This is stated in a joint  statement by ZCMC and the CJSC trade union.

ArmInfo. January 27 to 31, 2025, in Armenia's interbank foreign exchange market, three USD and three RUB transactions were effected, with no EUR transactions effected.  USD transactions showed an 87% decline against a 6.4-fold growth the previous week. RUB transactions showed a 23% growth as against an 3.6% decline. The total amount of USD transactions  exceeded that of RUB transactions 1.2-fold as against 12-fold the  previous period.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a press conference on January 31.  On the other hand, he added, the authorities cannot ignore the aspirations of a of the country's population to create  alternatives for Armenia's future as today is a very important phase  for us to talk about the strategic future of our country.  But a  conversation about our strategic future cannot take place if there is  no choice. Pashinyan said.
