ArmInfo. Is it possible to quickly implement a program in Armenia that will allow an individual to log in to the system without needing a special SIM card on their phone and an identification card when filing a tax return, similar of  how it is done when using banking services?  During a parliamentary  session on January 22, Arsen Torosyan, a deputy of the ruling faction  in the National Assembly of Armenia, posed this question to Deputy  Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan, who is in charge of tax policy  development at the Ministry of Finance.  According to Torosyan, he  personally encountered a problem when he changed his phone. His new  phone does not have the appropriate card, and he also has a Mac  computer where the reading device does not function.  "The country  has started the process of implementing a universal personal  identification system. As a result of the process, we will have a  single identification system that will be used by all state  structures," Arman Poghosyan said. At the same time, the deputy  minister admitted that there are still technical problems at this  stage.  He added that although there are no ready-made solutions yet,  the issue is at the center of attention of the State Revenue  Committee.  

Armenia, U.S. to collaborate on customs matters

The RA Parliament is discussing the agreement on mutual assistance between their customs authorities submitted by the RA government for ratification during the plenary session on January 22.  In his address, Rafael  Gevorgyan, the Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee,  emphasized that the document lays groundwork for customs cooperation.  It aims to regulate bilateral relations properly and comprehensively,  as well as strengthen and expand opportunities for closer and  mutually beneficial collaboration between the customs services of the  RA and the U.S..

ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities aim to decrease the financial and administrative burdens on companies engaged in foreign economic activity. At the plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on  January 21, amendments to the laws "On the Export of Dual Purpose  Goods, Their Transit Transportation through the Republic of Armenia,  as well as Control Over the Transfer of Dual Purpose Information and  Intellectual Activity Results " and  "On licensing" were discussed in  the second reading.  According to the Minister of High-Tech Industry  of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the goal of the  legislative initiative is to reduce additional administrative and  financial costs and improve the business environment, particularly  for companies in the technology sector. The purpose of the bill is to  establish a legal foundation for publishing a list of goods that have  undergone the examination and are not classified as dual-use or  military items. This will simplify customs clearance procedures based  on the published list.

MTPL contracts show 81.8% loss ratio in 2024
