EFSD to provide Armenia with $200 mln loan for construction of Kajaran tunnel

ArmInfo. The Eurasian  Development Bank will provide Armenia with a $200 million loan from  the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development for the  construction of the Kajaran tunnel. Discussions are currently  underway at the plenary session of the National Assembly of the  Republic of Armenia on December 3 regarding the agreement with the  Bank that has been submitted for ratification.

ArmInfo. RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia, Claudia Busch.  According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Finance, the parties discussed the projects implemented with the support of the German Development Bank (KfW) and possible cooperation within the framework of the <Global Preferential Financing Instruments Fund>.  Vahe Hovhannisyan emphasized the importance of enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany (German: Bundesministerium der Finanzen, BMF) and fostering bilateral ties through new initiatives.

Armenia`s gross international reserves 5.8% down by Nov 2024

ArmInfo. Armenia's gross  international reserves (GIR) decreased by 5.8% per annum or $222.1  million to $3.591 billion by November 2024, while a year ago an  increase of 5% or $179.7 million was recorded. Thus, GIR continues to  move away from the historical maximum of $4.2 billion recorded in  August 2023. This is evidenced by data from the Central Bank of the  Republic of Armenia.
