Tourism sector financing to be reduced in 2025

Financing for the tourism sector will be reduced in 2025, as stated by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan at the budget hearings in the Parliamentary committees on November 4.  Recall that in 2024, 1.5 billion drams were allocated from the state budget to the tourism sector, and 1 billion drams in 2023. Prior to that, the annual funding from state funds was approximately 200 million drams.

Fast Shift has joined Idram`s open QR infrastructure

ArmInfo.At a press conference on September 23, Fast Shift announced its partnership with Idram to join the open QR infrastructure. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two companies, allowing Fast Shift users to scan Idram QR codes at over 22,500 points of sale using their applications.

ADB to provide Armenia with a loan of 89.5 million euros as part of  budget assistance framework

ArmInfo.The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide Armenia with a budget assistance loan of  89.469 million euros. The loan agreement "Fiscal Sustainability and Financial Markets Development Program - Subprogram 2" was signed between the Ministry of Finance and ADB on November 1 of this year,  as noted in the message of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia.  

The sale of HSBC Bank Armenia to Ardshinbank to be completed on  November 29, 2024

ArmInfo.The sale of HSBC Bank Armenia (HSBC Armenia) to Ardshinbank is expected to complete on  November 29, 2024. At completion of the transaction, HSBC Armenia will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Ardshinbank and will be renamed Ardshininvestbank CJSC, as noted in the statement of HSBC Bank Armenia.

This was reported to ArmInfo by Grzegorz Kucharski, the representative of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) on the board of the Armenian Stock Exchange (AMX), answering a question  about the possibilities of Armenian companies entering the European capital market.

Armenia`s Universal health insurance implementation postponed with no  set timeline

ArmInfo.The launched program "Irrigated Agriculture Development in Ararat and Armavir Provinces"  (IADAAM) will open a new page for the agricultural sector, contributing to the implementation of reforms in the field of irrigation. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Arman Khojoyan at the launch of the program in Yerevan on October 31.
