ArmInfo. According to the results of 2024, the state treasury of Armenia, will fall short of tax revenues and duties by AMD158 billion compared to the program indicator for the current year.  As a result, state budget  expenditures will be reduced by AMD 130 billion. This information was reported by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia in response to a written request from ArmInfo. 

ArmInfo.In the first half of 2024, the total foreign investment flowing into the real sector of the Armenian economy decreased to a negative AMD 35.4 billion ($91.3 million) from a positive AMD 56.5 billion ($146.5 million) in the first half of 2023.

Gevorg Papoyan, the Minister of Economy of Armenia, received Claudia Busch, the newly  appointed Ambassador of Germany to the country, along with Letizia Carnevali, the portfolio manager of the Armenian office of GIZ.  As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Economy  of Armenia, Papoyan congratulated the Ambassador on taking office at the beginning of the meeting and expressed belief that her activities will enhance multi-faceted relations between Armenia and Germany.

ArmInfo. Mher Grigoryan, Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister, and Rolande Pryce,  the World Bank  (WB) Country Director for the Caucasus region,  held  a meeting in  Yerevan to discuss potential collaboration with the Bank in support  of the country's ongoing fundamental reforms.

ArmInfo. Armenia's industrial sector in January-August 2024 achieved double-digit 13.7% growth  compared to a 0.1% decline a year earlier, providing a volume of AMD  1.9 trillion ($4.8 billion).

ArmInfo. From January to August 2024, Armenia generated 6,121.2 million kWh of electricity marking a   2.4% increase compared to the same period last year. According to the  Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in August alone,  electricity production rose by 8.1% to 819.9 million kWh.
