ArmInfo. Russia continues to be the primary supplier of wheat, flour and corn to Armenia. According to the RA Customs Service, in 2023, Armenia imported 343.6 thousand tons of wheat, which is 5.8% lower compared to the previous year. At the same time, the Russian Federation accounted 99.9% of these imports, with the remaining volume divided between Hungary and Kazakhstan. The customs value of the imported wheat also decreased by 38.6% to $62.8 million. Wheat exports from Armenia decreased by 96.6% to 122.8 tons, with a 75.4% decrease in customs value to $179.4 thousand. The entire volume was destined for the Russian market. During the reporting period, 65.5 thousand tons of wheat flour were imported into the country, showing a 2-fold increase from the previous year, with a decrease in customs value by 11.2% to $10 million. 99.5% of wheat flour supplies were imported from Russia, while the remaining volume came from Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Belarus, France, Germany and Spain. In the same period, Armenia increased its wheat flour exports by 5.9 times to 35.1 tons.

According to the data of the Customs Service of Armenia, last year Armenia exported 29,122.3 kg of gold, which is 3.2 times more than the figure for the previous year (against a 2.3-fold increase in 2022).
