Armenia, Egypt discuss cooperation on labor mobility and social  protection

ArmInfo. Armenia and Egypt are considering the signing of a memorandum of cooperation to regulate labor mobility, as reported by the press service of the  Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, citing the outcomes of a  meeting between the head of the ministry, Arsen Torosyan, and the  Egyptian Ambassador to Armenia, Amal Afifi. The discussions focused  on  several issues, including the protection of labor rights and  procedures for entering the Armenian labor market.

Specifically, the growth of dollar transactions slowed slightly  from 90% to 79%, while  ruble transactions saw a significant turnaround from an 83% decline to a 7.8-fold increase.

ArmInfo. While there are regions in Armenia where every second person lives below the poverty line, struggling to survive on 50,000 drams (about $150) per month,  facing problems even with clothing, the country's leadership, which  promised to live modestly, receives bonuses amounting to billions of  drams. Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the "Our Way" movement, wrote  this on his Facebook page, responding to a publication by the  investigative website Hetq, according to which prime ministers and  deputy prime ministers received bonuses of 51.6 million drams (over  $135,000) in 2025.
