Equally active USD, RUB transactions in Armenia`s interbank foreign  exchange market Jan. 27-31, 2025

ArmInfo. January 27 to 31, 2025, in Armenia's interbank foreign exchange market, three USD and three RUB transactions were effected, with no EUR transactions effected.  USD transactions showed an 87% decline against a 6.4-fold growth the previous week. RUB transactions showed a 23% growth as against an 3.6% decline. The total amount of USD transactions  exceeded that of RUB transactions 1.2-fold as against 12-fold the  previous period.

ArmInfo.Nominal wages in Armenia from January-December 2024 compared to the same period in  2023 showed a slower growth rate of 6.4% (down from 14.6% in 2023), with an average of 287,172 AMD ($731, compared to $688 in 2023). This is evidenced by preliminary data from the RA Statistics Committee.

This increase was observed against the backdrop of a modest acceleration in the annual growth of industrial sector volumes, rising from 4.1% to 4.7%, with a total  volume of 2.998 trillion drams ($7.6 billion). Molybdenum export strategy developed in Armenia

ArmInfo. Funded by USAID, Ameria Management Advisory, Modex Consulting and international expert Andreas Klassen have developed Armenia's export strategic program, where molybdenum has been included in the list of leading products, as stated by Modex.  According to the source, in the coming years, separate actions are expected that will allow Armenia to strengthen its position on the "world map" of molybdenum producers. In modern industry, molybdenum is often used in alloys, due to its physicochemical properties ensuring the durability and resistance of equipment or individual parts in various corrosive environments, due to which such alloys are widely used in the production of missiles, chemical and pharmaceutical industry equipment, and  complex architectural structures.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia has completed the bankruptcy process of Ardshinbank OJSC after 23 years. It began in 2002 and is completely separate from the Ardshinbank CJSC that is currently operating. The Central Bank Council made the relevant decision during a meeting on January 29, 2025.
