Finance Corporation (IFC) has signed agreements with three Armenian
banks, Acba Bank, Converse Bank and Evocabank, to enhance access to
finance for smaller businesses, including women-owned and rural
enterprises and climate projects. It is planned to provide loans for
a total amount equivalent to $40 million. In particular, Acba Bank
will receive $25 million, Converse Bank - $5 million and Evocabank -
$10 million, as noted in IFC's statement.

ArmInfo. As of October 1, 2024, the plastic card market in Armenia had 3.964 million cards, indicating an annual growth of 11%. Over the past three years, the number of microprocessing cards with an NFC chip has increased by 2.4 times, with an annual growth of 22.4%. The total number of these cards now exceeds 3 million, accounting for 76.4% of all cards in circulation. This is evidenced by data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. An event marking the official launch of the Capital Market Support Program was held in Yerevan, attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, Sevak Mikaelyan. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, the program aims to enhance the country's capital market and assist corporate companies in issuing bonds and shares. The program is being implemented by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. The project is funded by the European Union. Consulting firms Galt & Taggart and Ameria are also involved in the implementation of the project. "The project aims to raise awareness of capital markets, improve access to them for specific companies and co-finance the costs of attracting financing from the capital market," the Ministry added.

ArmInfo. Converse Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) are collaborating to enhance access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises in Armenia. As part of this partnership, IFC will provide an unfunded risk sharing facility that covers 50% of the credit risk on a loan portfolio of US$ 10 million equivalent, enabling Converse Bank to expand its lending capabilities to SMEs.

ArmInfo. 4,479,792 AMD: this is the amount accumulated through "The Power of One Dram" initiative during the month of November, which has been transferred to the Armenia Tree Project (ATP) charitable foundation for its "Backyard Nurseries" program. This program supports 113 village residents, helping them establish nurseries on their own land. The funds raised through "The Power of One Dram" will be used to purchase the planting material grown in these nurseries, which will then be planted for afforestation efforts.
