ArmInfo.The launch of the initiative group of the Armenian Agroforestry Association was announced in Armenia, which will allow for the effective development of a new area for our country - agroforestry. 

ArmInfo.The conclusion of the agreement on the donation of 12.5% of shares out of 100% of the shares of the Lydian Armenia company is postponed until December 30 of this year. The decision on this was made at a meeting of the RA government on October 24.

ArmInfo.The U.S. Development International Finance Corporation (DFC) today announced a commitment for a $50 million loan to ACBA Bank aimed at expanding financing for small businesses in Armenia, fostering economic growth and empowering entrepreneurship. According to the US Embassy in  Armenia, the Bank will direct at least 50% of the DFC funds to  finance women-owned and women-led businesses, aiming to create more  inclusive economic opportunities.

ArmInfo.High-tech sector in Armenia will receive state support. The RA government approved amendments to the law "On state support to high-tech sector" and the RA Tax Code at the meeting on October 24.

ArmInfo. The application of state duty on gold export was intended, on the one hand, to address process control issues, and also to increase the revenue for the country's state budget. ArmInfo.The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will lend $236 million to Armenia to finance the construction of the southern section of the Sisian-Kajaran road of the North-South transport corridor.  Discussions are currently taking place in the Armenian parliament  regarding the agreement with the Bank that has been submitted for  ratification.

ArmInfo.Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan received Ms. Lesley Akyaa Opoku-Ware, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ghana to Armenia.  As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the parties discussed the most promising areas of economic cooperation between Armenia and Ghana during the meeting. They also talked about export and import opportunities within the framework of economic diversification, as well as potential cooperation in agriculture.

ArmInfo.The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, whose funds are managed by the Eurasian Development Bank, will provide Armenia with a loan of $100 million. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discussed the draft law on ratification of the relevant agreement with the EDB at a plenary session on October 23.

ArmInfo.The reduction of rates in large developed economies is gradually opening the way for developing countries to attract foreign capital. This is stated in the Macro Review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) published today.

ArmInfo.Since June of this year, re-export of precious metals has ceased to play a significant role in the economy of Armenia, and the contribution of net exports to economic growth in the first half of the year has become negative.  This is stated in the latest Macroeconomic Review of the Eurasian  Development Bank (EDB) for October, published today.
