ArmInfo.In 2022, Armenia increased natural gas imports by 6.4% - up to 2,965,818.1 cubic meters, while the customs value of imported natural gas increased by 9.6%, amounting to $504.8 million. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Customs Service, according to which Armenia traditionally imports natural gas from Russia (87.7%) and Iran (12.1%).

The actual increase compared to 2021 totaled 344.6 million drams or 12.8%. This was announced to the Prime Minister of  Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on August 17 in the Syunik regional administration, presenting a report on the activities of the regional governor's office for 2022.

ArmInfo. At the end of 2022, Armenia increased sugar exports 6.7-fold- up to 1.310 thousand tons,  with an increase in customs value 8.5-fold- up to $1.2 million,  according to the data of the RA Customs Service.

In July of this year, compared to the  beginning of 2022, the Armenian dram appreciated against a basket of  currencies: - by 19.8% y/y against the dollar, by 21.7% y/y against  the euro, by 32.4% y/y against the Russian ruble. In terms of the  real effective exchange rate, the Armenian dram appreciated by 33.6%  in 2022 and by 40% in June 2023 compared to the beginning of 2022.
