Net inflow of remittances to Armenia continues to grow at very high  pace due to remittances from Russia

ArmInfo.The net inflow of transfers from individuals in January- July 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 increased 2.3-fold (from 78.5% growth a year earlier),  exceeding $1.1 billion, which is largely supported by a multiple  growth in remittances from Russia, with a weakening upward pace of  transfers from the United States. This is evidenced by the data of  the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

CBA significantly improves its forecast for projected export and  import growth in 2022 to 28-24%, from 5.1-8.3% previously

ArmInfo.The Central Bank of Armenia further improved its forecast for 2022, expecting real growth in exports by 28% and imports by 24%, against the previously  projected 5.1% and 8.3%, respectively. This is noted in the Monetary  Policy Program (MPP) of the Central Bank for the third quarter of  2022, published on September 28, which indicates a more improved  forecast for GDP growth for 2022 from the previous 4.9% to an updated  12.9% (against the actual 5.7 % growth in 2021).

The share of exports, imports and transfers in Armenia`s GDP in 2023  will decrease compared to 2022:  Macroeconomic project of state  budget

ArmInfo.The share of exports in Armenia's GDP in 2023, compared to 2022, will decrease. The financial authorities of the republic also projected a decline in the  imports and remittances. This is stated in the budget report of the  next year's state budget project.
