ArmInfo.The Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired at high-voltage power lines through which Armenia supplies electricity to Iran in large volumes. After a large-scale military aggression by the Azerbaijani armed forces on  the night of September 13, the activity of the Sotk gold mine was  stopped.  Governor of Gegharkunik region Karen Sargsyan announced  this to journalists on September 29 during a study visit of foreign  diplomats to familiarize themselves with the consequences of the  Azerbaijani attack on peaceful settlements.

CBA further improves its forecast of unemployment rate: It is  expected to decrease to 14.1% in 2022

ArmInfo. In the new forecast for 2022, the Central Bank further improved its expectations for the unemployment rate in Armenia. It is expected that it will decrease to  14.1% (from 15.3% in 2021), against the previously forecasted decline  to 14.8%. But in the medium term, the unemployment rate is expected  to rise to 15%, which is also below the previously indicated forecast  range of 15-16%.

With its new forecast for 2022, CBA further reduces decline in net  inflow of transfers from previous 13% to 7%

With its new forecast for 2022, the Central Bank of Armenia,, further reduced the decline in net inflow of transfers (including income of seasonal  workers and private transfers) from the previous 13% to 7% (against  an actual 54% growth in 2021), based on estimates of more positive  changes in the Russian economy, the projected decline of which is  reduced from the previously expected 7.4%).

CB new forecast for 2022-2023: Armenian GDP growth will slow down  from 12.9% to 4.4%, and inflation will decrease from 10.3% to the  target 4%

The Central Bank of Armenia forecasts a slowdown in GDP growth in 2022-2023 from 12.9% to 4.4%, and a decrease in inflation from 10.3% to the target 4%.  This  is noted in the Monetary Policy Program (MPP) of the Central Bank for  the third quarter of 2022, published at the end of September.
