Armenian commercial banks to be granted right to provide mortgage  loans electronically

ArmInfo.  Armenian commercial banks will be granted the right to provide mortgage loans electronically through a multilateral agreement between real estate  sellers and buyers. At its November 26 meeting, the National  Assembly's Committee on Economic Affairs approved the second-reading  amendments to the Civil Code and the Law "On State Registration of  Property Rights" submitted by the Armenian government.

Armenian authorities to grant amnesty to taxi drivers

ArmInfo.  Armenian authorities intend to grant an amnesty to individual taxi drivers  who, between 2015 and 2019, were required to obtain a license and pay  the corresponding state fee, but failed to do so. At its November 26  meeting, the National Assembly's Committee on Economic Affairs  approved the amendments to the Law "On State Fee" submitted by the  government for the second reading.

EIB Group to provide Inecobank with  30 million euro portfolio  guarantee to support Armenian MSMEs

ArmInfo.The EIB Group (EIB and EIF) will provide a 30 million euro partial portfolio guarantee to Inecobank to boost access to finance for micro, small,  and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Armenia. This initiative is expected to support around 120 Armenian MSMEs and sustain 1,800 jobs. The project is supported by the European Commission under the  EU4Business Guarantee Facility.

Armenia`s industrial sector decline hindering  growth of  industrial  price index

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, the industrial price index in January-October 2025 was 103.3% (compared to 103.1% in the same period in 2024). This slight change in the  indicator is occurring alongside  a decline in the annual dynamics of  the industrial sector, shifting from double-digit 11.7% growth to a  3% decline, with a volume of  2.4 trillion drams ($6.2 billion), as  evidenced by preliminary data from the RA Statistics Committee.  According to statistics, the industrial price index also increased to  105.2% in October 2025 compared to October 2024 (up from 104.9% the  previous year).  During this period, the industrial sector showed  double-digit growth of 17.9%, while the previous year's growth rate  was relatively moderate at 5.3%.

Armenia`s economy grew by  8.1%  in Jan-Oct 2025, but foreign trade  declined

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, economic activity in January- October 2025 increased by 8.1%  year-on-year (the same as in the same period of 2024). However, this  growth was accompanied by a deterioration in foreign trade dynamics,  shifting from significant growth to a notable decrease. According to  preliminary data from the RA Statistics Committee, the industrial  sector, which was a key driver of growth a year earlier, is now  experiencing a decline. According to statistics, this economic  activity in January-October 2025 was primarily driven by an  acceleration in annual growth in the services sector - from 5.8% to  10.8% - and a more significant increase in the construction sector -  from 15.5% to 20.6%. There was also a slight acceleration in the  energy sector, from 2.8% to 4.2%.  Additionally, the annual dynamics  of the industrial sector worsened, from 11.7% growth to a 3% decline,  and growth in the trade sector slowed significantly, from 18.8% to  3.2%. The statistical report for this period does not include data on  the agricultural sector.

ArmInfo. As of October 1, 2025, the Armenian plastic market contained over 4.7 million cards, with an annual growth rate of 15%. Moreover, the number of  microprocessing cards with NFC chips has almost doubled in three years, including a 26% year-on-year increase, reaching 3.9 million,  or 83% of the total number of cards, according to data from the Central Bank of Armenia.
