World Bank worsened its forecast for Armenia`s GDP growth for 2022 to  1.2%, expecting decline in exports and imports by 8.5-12%

ArmInfo.The World Bank has worsened its 2022 forecast for Armenia's GDP growth from the previous 4.8% to an updated 1.2%, expecting a decline in exports by 8.5% and  imports by 12%. For 2023, the World Bank forecasts an acceleration in  Armenia's GDP growth to 4.6%, with exports growing by 6.5% and  imports by 8%, and in 2024 GDP growth is expected at 4.9%, with  acceleration of export and import growth up to 7.7% and 9.3%  respectively.

Standard&Poors revises down its outlook on Armenia`s sovereign rating  from "Positive" to "Stable", expecting only 1.3% GDP growth in 2022

ArmInfo.The international Standard&Poors rating agency has maintained Armenia's sovereign rating at "B+" and "B" for issuing long-term and short-term  liabilities in foreign and national currencies, but worsened its  outlook from "Positive" to "Stable". Armenian trade sector in January-February 2022 increased revenue by 8.2% per annum (against an 11.3% decline in the same period in 2021), providing a volume of  489.5 billion drams (over $1 billion). According to the RA  Statistical Committee, in February 2022 alone, the trade turnover in  Armenia increased by 11.9% - up to 258.6 billion drams ($538.6  million).

Net inflow of private transfers to Armenia sharply increased by 53%  per year by March due to significant increase in transfers from  Russia
