ArmInfo. Armenia plans to extend the VAT exemption for electric vehicles until January 1, 2024. On December 9, Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan  presented the draft law on making amendments to the Tax Code of the  Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. On December 13, Ardshinbank will put up for sale the next tranche of registered, coupon, non-documentary AMD bonds in the amount of 15 billion AMD.   According to the issue prospectus posted on the Central Bank's  website, the primary placement of the dram tranche is expected to be  completed on February 14, 2022.

ArmInfo.On December 8, the National Assembly of Armenia began discussions on the final version of the draft state budget of the country for 2022. As Minister of  Finance Tigran Khachatryan pointed out, following the parliamentary  discussions, a number of changes were made to the document, in  particular, the state budget deficit decreased by 6 billion 736.3  million drams - to 236.2 billion drams.

This January-October, 30,282 children were born in Armenia, with the  birthrate being up by 0.4% as compared with the corresponding period  of last year.  During the period under review, the birthrate was  12.3% per thousand against 12.2% per thousand in the corresponding  period last year.

In January-October, 2021, Armenia`s services sector recorded a 6.4% growth as compared with the corresponding period last year (against a 12.8% decline in  the previous period) - up to AMD 1,525bln ($3bln). This October,  however, the services sector recorded a 1.5% decline, with its  turnover totaling AMD 168bln ($350mln).

ArmInfo.In January-October, 2021, the proceeds of Armenia`s trade sector totaled AMD 2,600bln ($5.2) - a 7% increase against a12.5% decrease last January- October.

The revenue of the textile industry in Armenia in January-October 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 increased 2.1-fold, exceeding 1.4 billion drams.  As evidenced by the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic  of Armenia, such a dynamic was provoked by a tangible increase in the  production of fabrics and bed linen.

ArmInfo. Electricity generation in Armenia in January- October 2021 amounted to 6163.2 million kWh, having decreased in y-o-y terms by 3.1%, and in October  alone increased by 5.8% to 582.3 million kWh. This is evidenced by  the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
