Armenia`s trade sector started to grow with revenue of $ 4.6 billion  for 9 months

ArmInfo. The trade sector of Armenia in January-September 2021 increased revenue by 6.4% per annum (against 11.4% decline a year earlier), providing a volume of 2.4  trillion drams ($ 4.6 billion). According to the Statistical  Committee of the Republic of Armenia, such dynamics is due to the  change from the recession to the growth of car trade, retail and  wholesale trade.

Natural population growth in Armenia decreased by 40.6% per annum in  January-September 2021

In Armenia, in January-September 2021, 26,809 children were born, which is 0.9% higher than a year ago, and in a two-year context, the growth was  1.4%.  According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, the birth rate per 1000 inhabitants at the end of the  reporting period amounted to 12.1 ppm, against 12 ppm in 2020 and  2019.

ArmInfo. The volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in January-September 2021 accelerated the y-o-yl growth from 4.9% to 10.4%, amounting to 12,009.3 thousand  tons. Of these, 8,291.9 thousand tons (69% of the total) fell on road  transport, with an acceleration in annual growth from 5.2% to 17.5%  (against an increase of 5.2%). This is evidenced by the data of the  RA Statistical Committee.

Alcoholic beverage production registered double-digit growth in  Armenia

In Armenia, following the results of 9 months of 2021, double-digit growth was registered in all alcoholic beverages produced in the country.  In  particular, according to the data of the Statistical Committee of the  Republic of Armenia, during the reporting period, 30.3 million liters  brandy were produced in Armenia, which is 20.9% higher than a year  ago (against a 12% decline a year earlier).

ArmInfo.The net inflow of individual transfers to Armenia in January- September 2021 amounted to $ 670.2 million, with an acceleration in y-o-y growth from 28.5% to 56%  (against a pre-COVID 25.6% decline in the same period of 2019),  supported by an almost similar significant increase in net inflow of  remittances from Russia and the United States. This is evidenced by  the data of the RA Central Bank.

In Armenia, population decline with growing public debt increases per  capita debt burden

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the specific debt burden per capita continues to grow, reaching $ 3.1 thousand on October 1, 2021, against $ 2.7 thousand a year earlier. Moreover, per  capita debt burden from external debt increased from $ 2 thousand to  $ 2.3 thousand. This is due to the continuing annual growth of both  the public debt in general and external debt, in particular, with the  annual decrease in the population of Armenia by 1.1 thousand people.  - down to 2.967 million people by October 1, 2021.
