ArmInfo.The Armenian banking system's credit investments totaled AMD 3,900bln as of October 1, 2021, an annual increase of AMD 279bln or 6.7%. The third  three-month period alone saw an increase of AMD 26bln or 0.7%, Arman  Sargsyan, Deputy Managing Director of the Union of Banks of Armenia  (UBA), told a news conference on Friday as he presented the results  of the Armenian banking system's activities for Jan-Sept 2021.

ArmInfo.The production of aluminum foil in Armenia, in January-September 2021 in comparison with the same period in 2020, decreased by 3.9% (against 13.8% growth  a year earlier), with a volume of 25,420 thousand tons. According to  the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  2,831 tons of aluminum foil were produced in September alone, with a  decline of 2.4% over the month.

Armenia`s minister of economy hopes for more funds for agricultural  sector

About AMD 23.638bln of the AMD 41.009bln budgeted for 2022 (a 26.9% increase as compared with the 2021 adjusted budget) will be used to cover  agricultural expenses, RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan stated  at preliminary hearing of the 2022 draft budget by the standing  parliamentary committees. The discussions may result in an increase  in the total amount, he said.  

Armenia`s government to raise minimum monthly salary by $35 by 2026

ArmInfo. The minimum monthly salary is expected to be raised by $35 (current exchange rate) by 2026 - from AMD 68,000 up to 85,000. Armenia's Minister of Labor and Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan sated at the Nov. 5 discussion of the 2022  draft state budget by the standing parliamentary committees, in reply  to oppositional MP Tadevos Avetisyan. 

Economic activity in Armenia for 9 months of 2021 increased by 4.4%  per annum amid stagnation of industrial production rates

Armenia's economic activity in January-September 2021 showed an increase of 4.4% (against a decline of 6.6% a year earlier), while in the pre-COVID  period an increase by 7.1% was recorded (in the same period of 2019).  This is evidenced by the final data of the Statistical Committee of  the Republic of Armenia, according to which the stagnation rates of  industrial production are protracted.

YOY inflation in October 2021 reached 9.1% in Armenia, amid a  protracted rise in food prices

ArmInfo. In the consumer market of Armenia in January-October 2021, 4.2%, inflation was recorded, against deflationary 1% in the same period of 2020. This was provoked  by an increase in the price of food products (including alcohol and  cigarettes) by 5.7% (against a decrease in prices by 3.4% a year  earlier), non-food products - by 6.6% (against a rise in prices by  0.4% a year earlier), and increase in tariffs for services by 1.2%  (as in the previous year). This is evidenced by the data of the RA  Statistical Committee.

On November 4, the  Armenian government allocated 532 million drams to 9 regional  administrations to finance construction work within the framework of  subvention programs.
