ArmInfo. Concerts, festivals, sports matches, and other popular events traditionally attract not only spectators but also scammers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia regularly warns of this danger, while the schemes themselves are becoming increasingly varied -from fake websites to reselling the exact same ticket to dozens of people.

ArmInfo.  By July 2026, the Armenian plastic card market will already have 5.5 million cards,  with annual growth accelerating from 15.1% to 20.2%. These are  primarily microprocessor cards with NFC chips - 4.8 million, or 87%  of the total number (versus 83.5% a year ago), with annual growth  remaining at 29%. According to data from the Central Bank of Armenia,  local Arca microprocessor cards with NFC chips have seen significant  annual growth.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the industrial price index increased significantly in January-July 2026  compared to the same period in 2025, from 102.5% to 108.8%. This was  observed against the backdrop of improved annual growth in the  industrial sector, moving from a 9.8% decline to 9.5% growth,  reaching 1.8 trillion drams ($4.8 billion). This is according to  preliminary data from the RA Statistics Committee.

ArmInfo. In January-July 2026, state budget revenues of the Republic of Armenia amounted to 1.909 billion drams. Compared to the same period last year, state budget revenues increased by 14.9%, or 247.3 billion drams. This was stated in the report of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia on the execution of the state budget of the Republic of Armenia for January-July 2026.

ArmInfo.In Armenia, economic activity growth accelerated to 7.7% annually in January-July 2026 (from 7.1% in the same period of 2025). Moreover, the industrial sector, having managed to turn from recession to growth, has recovered as one of the drivers of economic growth.

ArmInfo. S&P Global Ratings affirmed Armenia's long-term and short-term sovereign credit ratings for foreign and local currency obligations at 'BB-/B', maintaining the positive outlook on the long-term ratings. S&P Global Ratings expects Armenia's GDP growth to slow to 4.9% in 2026 (from 7.1% in  2025), followed by an acceleration to 5.1% in 2027. Exports are expected to recover from a double-digit decline to 2.2% growth in  2026, accelerating to 3.7% in 2027. This is noted in a statement from S&P Global Ratings, which presents the rationale for this credit  action.

ArmInfo.A final decision on the type and manufacturer of the nuclear power plant to be built in Armenia should be made by 2027. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at the plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on August 24.
