Ardshinbank tops list of taxpayers among Armenia`s banks

ArmInfo. In the first half of 2025, the banking system of Armenia increased tax deductions to the state treasury by 28% per annum - to 105.3 billion drams ($274 million). Of this amount, 93% or 97.9 billion drams were paid in  direct taxes, with an annual growth of 30%. This is evidenced by the  data of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  according to which a year ago, tax deductions of the banking system  to the state treasury were in decline by 11.4%, with a decline of 13%  in direct taxes.

Armenian communication operators pay more taxes to Armenia`s budget  in first half of 2025

ArmInfo.  The four largest telecom operators in Armenia sent 20.4 billion drams to the state treasury in the first half of 2025, which is 5.2% more than the same period last year. Of this amount, 8.9 billion drams were paid as VAT, 3.6 billion as income tax and 2.8 billion as profit tax. This is evidenced by the  data of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Armenia`s interbank foreign exchange  market saw significant increase in  dollar transactions  from July 21- 25, 2025, with no ruble transactions taking place

ArmInfo. In Armenia's interbank foreign exchange market, there was a notable increase  in the volume of dollar transaction from July 21 to July 25, 2025, while ruble transactions remained unchanged. Euro transactions have not been conducted for two months. Particularly, the weekly trend for dollar transactions shifted from a 73% decrease to a 2-fold increase.

Industrial price index growth weakening due to decline in industrial  sector

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, the industrial price index decreased in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, dropping from 102.7% to 102.1%. This decline occurred alongside a negative shift in the annual dynamics of the industrial sector, transitioning from 18.2% growth to a 12.1% decline. The sector's total volume amounted to 1.3 trillion drams  ($3.2 billion), as evidenced by preliminary data from the RA  Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, the economic growth rate in the first half of 2025 decreased to 6.3% annually (down from 10.4% in the same period of 2024). Additionally, the industrial sector, which was a key driver of growth the previous year, is now slowing down economic growth with a  double-digit  decline. According to preliminary data from the RA Statistical  Committee, this is coupled with a negative shift in foreign trade  trend, transitioning from several-fold growth to a significant  decline.
