Central Bank of Armenia and Junior Achievement of Armenia NGO hold a Brain-ring among schoolchildren
ArmInfo. Within the frames of educational programs, the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) and the Junior Achievement of Armenia NGO held a Brain-ring among schoolchildren on Friday.
The given event aimed to help the schoolchildren to gain knowledge in economy and finance. About 500 pupils from over 100 schools of Yerevan and regions of Armenia participated in the preliminary round of the contest.
The members of the honorary jury were Armenak Darbinyan, member of the CBA Board, Armine Hovhannisyan, Executive Director of Junior Achievement of Armenia NGO, Artak Davtyan, Chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Commission for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, and Anahit Bakhshyan, member of this Commission.
By the unanimous decision of the jury, the team of Armavir region gained the first place in the final game. The teams of Kotayk and Shirak regions gained the second and third places respectively. The winning teams were awarded diplomas and silver medals.
To recall, Junior Achievement of Armenia NGO is a subsidiary of Junior Achievement international organization, which occupies the leading position in the world by educational programs in the spheres of economy and entrepreneurship. Over 2.5 billion students from 111 countries take part in these programs. The organization implements the programs with the financial support of USAID. The goal of Junior Achievement of Armenia is to familiarize the Armenian schoolchildren with the elements of economics and entrepreneurship.
