In 2011 Ameriabank to increase its loan book to $135bln AMD
ArmInfo. In 2011 Ameriabank is going to increase its loan book to $135bln AMD due both to own resources and to international programs, Development Manager of Ameriabank Tigran Jrbashyan said in an interview to ArmInfo.
He said that in Sept-Oct 2011 the bank is planning to borrow new funds from international creditors. By the end of this year the bank is planning to borrow over $50mln.
"For the moment we are negotiating with several organizations - both old and new alternative partners," Jrbashyan said.
He said that this year the bank will focus on SMEs. In the next three years the share of SMEs in the bank's loan book is supposed to be enlarged to 30-35%.
According to Ameriabank's preliminary report, in Jan-June 2011 the bank's loan book totalled 115bln AMD - 12% growth as compared with Dec 2010 and 60% growth as compared with Jan-June 2010.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia, Mar 31 2011 Ameriabank had the 2nd biggest loan book - 111.7bln AMD or almost 70% of the bank's assets. 80% of the loans were money spent on economy - 89bln AMD (the 1st place). 37.5% of the bank's loans are given to industry, 22.6% - to trade (the 1st and 2nd places).
