VTB Bank (Armenia) opens renovated branch in Gyumri
ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) has opened a modernized and restructured branch in the town of Gyumri (78, Gorky Street). Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan and Vice President of VTB24 Dmitry Yakovlev attended the official opening ceremony on October 30. The office interior meets the VTB brand style.
"Besides repair, complex measures have been taken to optimize the service and related procedures, to modernize and re-equip the work places and the customer service zone,' said Artak Khachatryan, Director of VTB Bank (Armenia) Department for Retail Business.
According to Khachatryan, the bank's branches in Armavir and Etchmiadzin, as well as in the Davidashen and Erebuni communities and on Mashtots Ave in Yerevan have been modernized and will be put into service shortly.
Vice President of VTB24 Dmitry Yakovlev, in turn, said that the major goal of investment in the repair and restructuring of the branches and service points is to create maximum comfortable conditions for service of customers and visitors.
He said that nearly 70% of the bank's business is in Yerevan, therefore they started modernization from the capital city. "Next year the bank will restructure 16 big and 22 small branches in the regions of Armenia," Yakovlev said.
For his part, Haroutiun Minasyan, Manager of the Gyumri branch, told ArmInfo that the branch serves 7,000 customers, including 4,000 borrowers. Consumer loans, including car loans, are popular at the given branch in Gyumri.
VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC joined VTB Group in April 2004. At present Russian VTb Bank OJSC holds 100% stake in VTB Bank (Armenia). The bank has leadership positions in the Armenian banking system by a number of key figures. At present the Bank serves the largest branch network in the country:69 branches, with 44 in the regions and 25 in Yerevan.
