ArmInfo. Since the beginning of the year, electricity generation in Armenia has increased 7%, according to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
In particular, the nuclear power plant increased generation by 1,8%, heat power plants - 2%, hydro power plants - 27%. In Jan -Feb 2016, 1.3billion kWh electricity was generated in the country, with NPP accounting for 541 million kWh of total. Heat power plants generated 459million kWh of electricity versus 246million kWh a year ago. HPPs generated 313million kWh electricity.
