ArmInfo. In 2019, Armenia will have the best electric power grid in the entire post-Soviet space, Armenian Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Areg Galstyan said in Parliament on October 27.
He said that by 2019 all the electric power substations in the republic will be equipped with up-to-date facilities. The system management will be automated. For that purpose, the second stage of SCADA project will shortly be launched. This will provide an opportunity to strengthen the capacities of the power grid of Armenia. The projects are funded by a number of international financial organizations.
Earlier, Yervand Zakharyan, the former minister of energy and natural resources, said that by 2019 the total investments in the Armenian power engineering will exceed 800 mln USD.
