Representatives of three large French companies will visit Armenia to learn about the investment capacities of the country

ArmInfo. In the nearest  future the representatives of three large French companies willvisit  Armenia  to learn about the investment opportunities of the country.  This was stated to journalists by Suren Karayan, the Minister of  Economic Development and Investments of Armenia on March 16.

According to him, the matter  refers to companies occupied in  medicines production, food processing and industries. The agreement  on the visit mentioned is reached based on the results of Serzh  Sargsyan's visit to France. The Minister expressed his disagreement  with the opinion stating that French capital runs away from Armenia.  The Company of Orange has left Armenia, but it does not matter that  all companies will do it. Moreover -here is just a matter of  commercial deal. In distinct to Orange, another large French company  - Carrefour- continues its activities in Armenia," the Minister  mentioned.  Suren Karayan thinks that  one more reason of foreign  companies interest to Armenia is that Armenia could become a platform   to exit larger markets - EEU, European Union, USA and Canada.  Minister stated also that there are solutions modified already in  respect to logistics, hence this problem  will not be actual for  investors.

Yesterday in Moscow Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan at the joint  briefing with Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Armenia  possesses a large potential in the aspect of transit to Iran and  Persian Gulf. " We are ready to pay attention to certain projects in  the aspect of transportation and logistics services, and we see a big  potential in respect to the transit to Iran and Persian Gulf," Serzh  Sargsyan mentioned accentuating the importance of regional  cooperation.
