ArmInfo. Head of the General  Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia Sergey Avetisyan and General  Manager of Armenia-International Airports CJSC Marcelo Vende held a  meeting with the German Ambassador to Armenia Matthias Kisler on  March 16.

As the press service of the GDCA told ArmInfo, during the meeting the  parties discussed the restoration of air communication between  Armenia and Germany, as well as the possible resumption of  negotiations with the airline Lufthansa.

Stressing the importance of the issue, Avetisyan noted that there is  a bilateral air service between Armenia and Germany and due to joint  work it will be possible to find an appropriate solution to the  issue. The sides discussed a number of other issues in the aviation  sphere.

Earlier it was reported that the former head of the GDCA, Artem  Movsisyan, who headed the department for 12 years, demanded a large  bribe from the German airline Lufthansa for granting a license to  operate in the Armenian market of air transportation. As a result of  a major scandal, Artem Movsisyan was forced to resign.
