Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce raise the issue  of intellectual property protection in Armenia

ArmInfo. On February 23,  Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received representatives of  the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmGgam) and members -  organizations of representatives who carry out their activities in  the field of intellectual property or faced intellectual property  problems in the course of their entrepreneurial activities.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, the  guests, expressing gratitude for the reception, noted that one of the  issues on the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the  Armenian-American Council, created in the framework of the Trade and  Investment Agreement, in Washington will be the consideration of the  intellectual property problem, protection which is important from the  point of view of promoting and developing business. In this context,  a number of problems in this area were presented, with which the  business faces daily activities. In particular, the law enforcement  practice in the field of intellectual property, the work of the  judicial system and the problem of specialized courts, customs  procedures and other issues were pointed out.

Karen Karapetyan pointed to the need to resolve the issues raised,  instructing the responsible agencies together with AmGgam to discuss  problems and proposals for their solution.
