ArmInfo. The currency interbank of Armenia increased its volume 4.6-fold from May 14 to 18, after growing 8.3-fold in the previous week.
Parallel to this, dollar transactions were on the rise in the intra-bank foreign exchange market, while the euro-s, keeping the downward trend of sales, went into recession and buying, against which the ruble was bought up with zero sales dynamics. Exchange market since the beginning of the year to this day is empty. As a result, the dram against the dollar on May 14-18 began to strengthen from 486 to 483.3 AMD/USD1, continuing the revaluation to the euro - from 580 to 570 AMD/EUR1, and also tune to the ruble - from 7.9 to 7.8 AMD/RUR1. A year earlier, on May 18, 2017, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 483.5 AMD/USD1, to the euro - 538 AMD/EUR1, and to the ruble - 8.5 AMD/RUR1, which, in comparison with the current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the dram to euro, at revaluation to the dollar and the ruble.
