ArmInfo. Today, winegrowers from Agavnadzor of Vayots Dzor region gathered to express their concerns and complaints regarding the purchase prices for grape. According to residents, in the winter almost all the purchasers, including the Proshyan wine plant, contacted growers, offering them 350 drams a minimum price per kilogram of grape. In their opinion, over the past 15-20 days, the price policy of the "Armenia Wine" company led to the fact that for 1 kg of grape, buyers began to offer 250 drams.
"Numerous small purchasing companies say that they are ready to take grapes at prices of the past year, they simply cannot go against "Armenia Wine " company'', the source noted. Villagers see a political context in the situation. The latter believe that everything is being done to raise a wave of discontent. According to their conviction, no buyer can explain why the offer price is much lower than last year. "If, under the old regime, we blocked the roads and the main highway to make them buy our grape, now we don't want to take such a step, as we are sure that the current authorities will protect our interests and we don't want to create problems for our government," residents say.
