ArmInfo. Spanish company ''Global Tech'' intends to establish intensive gardens in Armenia. Representatives of the company told this at a meeting held on November 28 with the Acting Minister of Agriculture Gegham Gevorgyan.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Agriculture, the meeting also noted the intention of the Spanish company to modernize the research and production centers operating in Armenia, where Armenian specialists and farmers will be retrained.
The Acting Minister noted that both initiatives of the Spaniards are important and relevant for the country, Gegham Gevorgyan stated his readiness to assist in their implementation.
The interlocutors discussed issues relating to the prospects for the development of intensive gardens in the country, agricultural applications. innovative technologies, organization of gardening works, attraction of credit resources for the implementation of initiatives. In order to expand cooperation in the field, representatives of the Spanish company offered to conclude a memorandum of understanding.
Earlier ArmInfo reported on the intentions of a Spanish company to establish a training center in Armenia, where more than 100 people will be able to upgrade their qualifications annually. The training center, which will have its own greenhouse and intensive gardens, will be equipped with modern technologies. To note, in the field of agribusiness and food design and engineering company ''Global Tech'', headquartered in Madrid, develops projects with the latest technological advances in accordance with the specific needs of each business. These are the construction of greenhouses (from the simplest to the most technological), warehouses, quality laboratories for standardization, transportation of products both in normal conditions and in a controlled atmosphere, farms and slaughterhouses, processing and feed mills. The company is present in the Dominican Republic, Angola, Russia, and Philippines.
