ArmInfo. The enlarged communities of the Syunik region of Armenia in 2019 will receive 445 million drams in the form of subventions (programs that are 40% funded by communities, 60% by the government), while subsidies to the country's community budgets will increase by 2.8 billion drams next year.
This was announced at a meeting with voters in Meghri by Acting Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren Papikyan, who heads the election headquarters of the ''My Step'' bloc. According to him, this year, 213 million drams were allocated for the subventions to the 8 enlarged regions of Armenia in Syunik. Another 387 million drams were directed at solving problems that need to be addressed as a matter of priority. As Papikyan pointed out, Syunik in 2019 will be able to claim the largest budget in the form of subventions from the state treasury.
To note, the candidates from the "My Step" bloc headed by the Acting Prime Ministers of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan hold meetings with voters in the settlements of Syunik region. They began their campaign in Meghri. Candidates from the "My Step" bloc will also visit the cities of Kajaran, Kapan and Goris.
Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan said that in 2018, 5 billion drams were planned to be allocated as subventions. But, taking into account financial problems, the prime minister proposed to allocate 10 billion drams from the amounts recovered as a result of corruption revelations.
