ArmInfo. Armenia is interested in carrying out a transit gas pipeline through its territory, including from Russia, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with RBC, answering the question whether Armenia does not plan to join countries that support reducing energy dependence on Russia and consider projects such as "Nord Stream - 2" as a threat to their own security.
"Unfortunately, "Nord Stream - 2" is not being built in Armenia now. And we are interested in building a transit pipeline in our country that would transport, for example, gas or oil from point A to point B. Therefore, we are very interested in such projects", Pashinyan said.
To note, "Nord Stream - 2> involves the construction of two gas pipeline lines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from the coast of Russia through the Baltic Sea to Germany.
