ArmInfo.One of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Armenian market "Liqvor" is investing 7.6 billion drams in further expansion of its own production. At the meeting on February 6, the Armenian government approved the company's application for exemption from customs payments for the import of necessary equipment and raw materials.
As RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan noted in his speech, the company is one of the first pharmaceutical companies in the country. "Liqvor" intends to produce products worth 13 billion drams per year, of which 3.8 billion drams will be sold on the domestic market, 1 billion drams on the markets of the EEU countries and 8 billion drams on the markets of third countries.
In turn, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that only by the end of 2018, the government provided preferential treatment for investments worth about $ 500 million. "It is important to assess the situation, determine which programs are running and which are not," noticed Nikol Pashinyan.
The "Liqvor" company was established in May 1991 and became the first private enterprise in Armenia, producing finished dosage forms. The company produces 60 names of infusion, injection, ophthalmologic, haemostatic, otorhinolaryngological preparations and exports its products to almost all CIS countries. In some areas, such as infusion therapy and ophthalmology, the company's drugs are recognized as basic in standard treatment regimens. The main export market of the company is the countries of Central Asia.
