Tigran Khachatryan, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Maria Pavlova Tsotsorkova-Kaimaktchieva.According to the press service of the Ministry, the parties discussed issues related to the next meeting of the Armenian-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission.
They touched on the organizational work of the business forum, which will be held during the meeting. In particular, the issues of participation of business circles and companies in the forum were discussed. The ambassador and the minister expressed the hope that the business forum would be effective in terms of the development of trade and economic ties. Other issues of the Armenian-Bulgarian economic agenda were also discussed.According to the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the foreign trade turnover of Armenia with Bulgaria in January-December 2018 reached $ 259.1 million, compared with 2017, the decline was 19.6%. At the same time, exports amounted to about $ 215.3 million (a decline of 23.8%), while imports reached about $ 43.8 million (an increase of 9.5%).
