ArmInfo.On July 19, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan chaired a meeting during which issues related to the process of implementing the program for the formation of a digital society and digital economy were discussed. This was reported by the press service of the RA government.
Secretary of the Information Systems Management Board of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan reported on the work carried out towards the implementation of the digitalization strategy and the roadmap. In particular, it was noted that following the results of the meetings of the Information Systems Management Board, the vision and goals of the project were approved, a one and a half year work program was determined, which is being implemented in accordance with the approved guidelines. Work is underway to introduce and actively use an electronic identification system, assess and analyze the impact on the formation of digitalization opportunities in the public sector, the formation of national cybersecurity potential, dialogue platforms with the private sector have been launched, and the digital architecture of Armenia has been approved.
Based on the presented report, an exchange of ideas took place, the participants of the meeting presented their views on issues related to the policy of providing services, interoperability of information systems, data infrastructures.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to create a developed and secure environment and infrastructure for Armenia's transformation into a digital society and digital economy. According to Nikol Pashinyan, this will contribute to increasing the potential and well-being of citizens, supporting enterprises in increasing their competitiveness and ensuring effective management of state institutions.
Nikol Pashinyan instructed to organize a discussion of the issues raised during the meeting and present the proposed solutions at the next meeting.
