ArmInfo. Ardshinbank  announces new terms on mortgages, according to which the interest  rate for purchasing residential real estate has been reduced to 9.5%.  Lending conditions have also been improved, therefore it is now  possible to get a real property starting with just 5% prepayment.

ArmInfo. The National Assembly of Armenia at the meeting on September 14 in the first reading amended the law "On Housing Mortgage Lending" and in a package of relatedlaws.According to the deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan, the bill passed two readings during the previous session of the parliament, but did not pass the third and final one. 

ArmInfo. The National Assembly of Armenia at the meeting on September 13 began discussions on the draft amendments to the Law on Housing Mortgage Lending and a package of related laws.

ArmInfo. From now on, it is  possible to issue a mortgage loan in the amount of up to 25 million  drams for buying / building / repairing real estate at a reduced  interest rate from VTB Bank (Armenia) starting from 11.5% per annum  when purchasing housing and from 12.5% at construction / repair.  According to the press service of the Bank, the mortgage loan can be  granted to RA citizens and RA residents, whose age at the time of  receiving the loan should not be less than 21 years, and at the time  of repayment the loan should not exceed the age of the borrower's  retirement. 

ArmInfo. The real estate  market of Armenia in the first half of 2017, despite the prolonged  stagnation of prices, began to show weak signs of recovery. According  to the director of the real estate agency "Bars" Marina Chatinyan, an  increase in interest in real estate is observed in all market  segments, from new buildings to land plots.

ArmInfo. Eurasian Development  Bank (EDB) approved in the second quarter of 2017 for Armenia one  investment-project loan (IPL) for $ 20 million. One more loan for $ 4  million was approved for the country by the Black Sea Trade and  Development Bank (BSTDB). This is stated in the "Review of investment  activity of international development banks" published today. II  quarter of 2017>, prepared by the Office of Strategic and Industry  Analysis of the Eurasian Development Bank. In the share ratio,  Armenia accounted for 2% of the total amount allocated by the  international development banks for investment-project financing  (IPF).

ArmInfo. For Jan-May 2017 Converse Bank significantly increased the mortgage portfolio on the program Affordable Housing for Young People (HYPP) by 29.7%. At the same time, the volumes of energy efficiency crediting and the mortgage portfolio within the framework of cooperation with the National Mortgage Company (NMC) increased by 15.5% and 9.1% respectively. As the Bank's press service explained ArmInfo , such growth in lending could be achieved through the use of competitive conditions.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, it is  necessary to develop mechanisms that encourage bona fide borrowers.  Corresponding instructions to the head of the Central Bank were  announced by the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on April  27 at a meeting of the Government.

ArmInfo. Within the partnership with National Mortgage Company, Converse  Bank launched the 4th stage of KfW funded mortgage project on effective housing construction support in Armenia. According to the information shared with  ArmInfo by the press office of the Bank, within the fourth stage of the project two aspects will be launched: Energy Efficient Mortgage Loans and Regional Mortgage  Loans. At that, the second dimension does not comprise any compulsory requirements of energy efficiency securing.

ArmInfo. The German KfW Bank has provided Armenia with a EUR 20 mln loan (in AMD equivalent) or implementation of the fourth stage of the mortgage lending program, CEO of National Mortgage Company UCO Hayk Voskanyan and KfW representative Judith Boehnke said at a press conference on February 1.
