Rosgosstrakh-Armenia insurance company increases volume of indemnities seven times
ArmInfo. As of the end of Q1 2010, the volume of indemnities of Rosgosstrakh-Armenia grew over 7 times as compared with the same period of 2009 and amounted to 40 mln AMD. According to the company's official report, over Q1 2010 the company collected premiums worth 670 mln AMD, which is 5.6 times as much as over the same period of 2009. At the same time, the company managed to ensure the first position in the market by the level of receipts within less than 2 years.
According to the report, receipts from insurance of vehicles and insurance of financial risks, which make up 28% and 25% respectively in the portfolio, prevail in the structure of premiums. The company's assets grew to 2.4 bln AMD, total capital – to 1.3 bln AMD, of them 1.2 bln AMD being the authorized capital.
Rosgosstrakh-Armenia has recently bought London-Yerevan insurance company included in the top three insurance companies by most of indices, except indemnities.
To recall, Rosgosstrakh-Armenia has been operating in the market since 2008. The institutional shareholder of the company is ROSGOSSTRAKH Group (Russia), which has announced its intention to hold the leading position within the next 2-3 years by launching pension and life contribution system insurances in the future.
