Unibank increases fixed deposit portfolio over year by 8,5%
ArmInfo. Unibank increased the portfolio of fixed deposits of individual persons in the first half year 2010, as compared to the similar period of 2009 by 8,5% to 40.2 bln drams, Unibank press service told ArmInfo.
Along with it, Unibank presents a new bank deposit for individuals - Grand Prix. Opening the Grand Prix deposit, a client earns not only a guaranteed income on deposit, but is also permitted to take part in the Unibank prize drawing in September 2010. The grand prize of the drawing is a trip to Cyprus. Grand Prix deposit is accepted in Armenian drams for 365-day period with 11% annual interest rate. The minimum deposit amount makes up 100,000 drams. The interest payment terms are determined at the depositor's will. The interest is paid every month or at the end of the term, to the depositor's card or bank account. This deposit action is valid till August 31, 2010. All the depositors are enabled to receive an overdraft (credit funds) at the rate of 80% of the deposit amount. No interest is collected on the overdraft during 30 days. When placing money on deposit, all depositors are provided with ArCa or Visa Electron payment cards free-of-charge.
To recall, Unibank leads among Armenia's banks by the volume of fixed deposits of individual persons.
To note, The Cyprian Ripatonso Holdings Limited (75,43% share), Gagik Zakaryan (12,285%) and Georgy Piskov (12,285%) are shareholders of Unibank.
