EBRD to increase investment volumes in Armenia up to 60 mln EUR till the end of the year
ArmInfo. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is going to increase the investment volumes in Armenia up to 60 mln EUR till the end of 2010 via making 20-22 contracts, the leader of the EBRD Yerevan office Valeri Razlog told Arminfo correspondent.
He recalled that at present EBRD has 15 contracts in Armenia, which is a recording index for the bank. The main volume of investments is in the banking sector. The EBRD has already placed about 20 mln EUR in the sphere of small and medium-sized business via the Armenian banks. EBRD is going to increase this index up to 30 mln EUR till the end of the current year, which is almost half of the planned investments for the current year. A big part of credits was directed to development of the real sector of economy, in particular, food industry, construction sector and pharmacy, he said.
