Annual amount of motor third party liability insurance premiums to total 10bln-12bln AMD


ArmInfo. The annual amount of motor third party liability insurance premiums will total 10bln-12bln AMD, Executive Director of the Bureau of Motor Insurers of Armenia Vahan Avetisyan said during a press-conference today.

The loss ratio of MTPL is estimated at 72-78% of the total amount of premiums.

Today, the Central Bank of Armenia approved the tariff plan for MTPL developed by the Bureau of Motor Insurers of Armenia. The plan will take effect in 10 days.

According to the Ranking of the Insurance Companies of Armenia prepared by ArmInfo, July 1 2010 there were 10 insurance companies in Armenia insuring vehicles and motor liability. In Jan-June 2010 the total amount of their premiums in this segment was 892.3mln AMD.
