Star network of supermarkets announces beginning of sales of MTPL policies of "Rosgosstrakh-Armenia" insurance company
ArmInfo. Motor Third-Party Liability (MTPL) policies will be sold in all the STAR supermarkets (17) from now on. As STAR press service told ArmInfo, Star Divide CJSC came out as an insurance agent of "Rosgosstrakh-Armenia" insurance company, the biggest company of Russia, "Rosgosstrakh" company is a sole owner.
According to the source, STAR trading network enables to acquire MTPL policy during daily shopping quickly and jumping the queue.
To recall, the vehicle type, the engine power, the operation purpose, as well as the driver's age and driving experience are taken into account as risk factors during calculation of MTPL policies' cost.
To also note, on October 29, STAR trading network is opening its 18th supermarket in Armenia, in the 16th bloc of Yerevan, in Bashinjaghyan Street, where the customers will also be provided with MTPL policies.
To note, Armenian insurers have started selling MTPL policies since October 18, 2010. The Law On Motor Third-Party Liability comes into force from January 1, 2011.
According to the law, a term of an insurance agreement, being signed for a period from 3 months to 1 year, is introduced (for the vehicles being imported in a temporary import or transit regime, the minimum period is 15 days).
