The Banker recognizes Ameriabank as the Best Bank of the Year
ArmInfo. The Banker magazine (the Financial Times group) has recognized Ameriabank as the Best Bank of the Year.
The press service of Ameriabank reports that the 11th The Banker awarding ceremony took place in London Dec 2. Some 500 organizations applied for the Best Bank of the Year award. Ameriabank has been granted a certificate and a statuette of the founder and editor of The Banker Brendan Bracken (President of Financial Times in 1945-1958).
According to the organizers, the key advantages of Ameriabank were high development rate, wide range of services (from consumer loans to M&A), $85mln IFC, EBRD, FMO and DEG investments aimed at supporting renewable power and small and medium-sized business, low percentage of non-performing assets, flexible risk assessment system, successful merger with Cascade Bank, innovations, progressive approach to banking business.
Due to the serious capitalization plans of TDA Holdings Limited (an affiliate of Troika Dialog and the owner of 99.99% stake at Ameriabank), since mid 2008 Ameriabank has grown from a small to large bank.
According to the Ranking of the Commercial Banks of Armenia prepared by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), Oct 1 2010 Ameriabank was the 1st in authorized capital (25.5bln AMD), 2nd in total capital (31.2bln AMD), 2nd in assets (152.5bln AMD), 1st in loan book (98bln AMD), 2nd in time deposits (47.2bln AMD). In Jan-Sept 2010 the bank's profit totalled 2.1bln AMD (4th place).
