Volume of compensation of "RESO" insurance company may amount to 200 mln drams since the beginning of the year


ArmInfo. The volume of the compensation payments on Motor Third Party Liability Insurance (MTPLI) of "RESO" insurance company may amount to 200 mln drams since the beginning of the year, Executive Director of the company, Samvel Grigoryan, told Arminfo correspondent.

He also added that "RESO" insurance company has fixed 981 cases of road accidents since the beginning of the current year, 321 of which have been already settled. The compensation payments on them amounted to 60 mln drams. Totally, the company made 50300 contracts and occupied the third position at the MTPLI market.

When assessing the state of the insurance market of Armenia Grigoryan said that the process of natural establishment of the insurance institution in Armenia is unusual as it was broken for a long period of time since the USSR split. Today insurance has been developing in Armenia parallel to development of the whole financial market. "But I think that some time, maybe very soon, insurance will become one of the key drivers of the country's financial market development", - he concluded.
