Pensioners to be able to receive pension via ArCa, Visa and MaterCard of "Anelik Bank"
ArmInfo. "Anelik Bank" has made a contract with State Social Service under Armenian Labour Ministry about the non-cash payment of pensions by card or the banking account. As press-service of "Anelik Bank" reported, the contract was made on 4 February 2011.
The pensioners will be able to receive pension via ArCa, Visa and MaterCard od "Anelik Bank". A pensioner may open a pension account free of charge in any office of the bank or buy a card without paying for its service for a year. No commission fee is taken from the pension cards.
"Pensioners may get pension directly from the pension account in the bank without using the card. 2% interest rate will be added to the positive balance of a pension account", - representative of the "Anelik Bank", Gayane Malkhasyan, said.
According to the analysis "Armenian banks in the card business" prepared by ArmInfo, as of 1 October 2010 "Anelik Bank" is among the leading ten by the total number of the active cards - 33 thsd units, 12 thsd of which are the local ArCa cards (8th position, growth by 3%), about 15 thsd - Visa (6th position, growth by 32%) and more than 6 thsd - MasterCard (6th position, growth by 26%). By the number of the POS-terminals the bank occupies the 3-rd position - 375 its own POS-terminals and 282 - used jointly. As of 1 October 2010, the bank had 29 ATMs, 24 of which - in Yerevan.
To note, "Anelik Bank" was founded in 1990. As of 1 January 2011, the assets of the bank amounted to 60.1 bln drams and credit investments - 29.7 bln drams.
